Hi, I'm Emily. I'm so glad you're here.

I've spent my entire career helping governments and nonprofits connect with their communities: helping neighbors find their way through a large county government, building a planning and development services department that supported growth that matched the city's goals, and growing a small safety nonprofit into one of the largest ped/bike nonprofits in the state of Florida.

I have been in the trenches writing staff reports and making maps. I've served the late nights at the podium with boards, I've worked across disciplines and departments to bridge gaps and work to find solutions. I've built a nonprofit from the ground up, focused on having a seat at the table with decision makers and used data to tell that story.

That's why I stated Lightwing Strategies -- as a way to support other communities, nonprofits and builders in a part time fractional manner that helps shine a light on building communities and systems that shine brighter -- as they should in the sunny state of Florida.
